Baoruco 21 Rum represents the ultimate expression of Dominican purity and tradition in the aging of the finest sugarcane spirits. Coming from a pioneering region in the production of this beverage, our rum had to live up to expectations.
It is obtained through a slow and meticulous process, based on an original formula and a series of rigorous, traditional Dominican standards. A fundamental part of rum fermentation is molasses, a sugarcane byproduct that converts the sugars into alcohol. This plant becomes the most important raw material in rum production, as it determines the aroma, flavor, and character of the rum.
Next, spring water of the highest purity is added, its exceptional quality being of paramount importance in the production of Baoruco 21 Rum. Then, the distillation process begins in a pot still to remove impurities from the alcohol. It is worth noting that this process, with its long tradition in rum making, is reserved for obtaining products of great complexity and proven quality.
Finally, the aging process takes place in American oak barrels. Oxygen from the air permeates the barrel’s pores, oxidizing the alcohols into aldehydes and these into acids. Furthermore, the small size of these barrels imparts elegant aromas such as vanilla and well-defined body to the rum.
Throughout the entire production process, the aim is to achieve the distinctive flavor of Baoruco 21. The final product is a premium quality rum, produced in very limited and carefully controlled quantities. Baoruco products are spirits that are a gift to the palate, and this 21 rum is the epitome of premium exquisiteness.
