Herbero de la Sierra de Mariola Serpis is an anise-flavored spirit obtained through the distillation and maceration of herbs and plants such as fennel, sage, chamomile, pennyroyal, and up to 15 aromatic varieties harvested in the Sierra de Mariola region of Alicante province. It has an alcohol content of 30%. This spirit has a clear, greenish-yellow appearance and an exquisite aroma derived from the wide variety of herbs and aromatic plants it contains. It boasts a delicious botanical flavor, a dry finish, and a subtle aniseed undertone.
Herbero comes from the tradition and legacy of our ancestors, who took advantage of the abundant variety of botanical species in the Sierra de Mariola mountains. In these arid areas, the forest is replaced by plants adapted to the dryness and aridity of the land. Initially, these aromatic plants were used for medicinal purposes, and later, by macerating and distilling them, they were used to obtain Herbero de la Sierra de Mariola.
It is recommended to serve it at room temperature or chilled in a small glass or shot glass. It also pairs very well with very cold lemon soda.
