Gin for Gin and Tonic: the base of a perfect cocktail
A gin and tonic is much more than just a combination of gin and tonic water. It’s a ritual, a sensory experience that begins with choosing the right gin. At Destilerías Sinc, we craft gins with their own unique character, born in the Valencian Community, so that every gin and tonic is a special occasion.
Four gins, four personalities for your gin and tonic
Each of our gins has a distinct profile to suit any palate:
Ever Gin: the first London Dry Gin produced in the Valencian Community. Handcrafted in a copper still with 10 carefully selected botanicals—juniper from the Sierra de Mariola mountains, rosemary, spearmint, sweet orange, lemon, cardamom, coriander, and mint, among others. Aromatic, smooth, and Mediterranean in a gin and tonic. It pairs especially well with lightly spiced tonics, lemon or grapefruit peel, and rosemary. Winner of the Gold Medal at CINVE in 2012 and 2013.
Gilkon’s Gin: an authentic, classic London Dry Gin, crafted using traditional methods. Pure juniper flavor with no artificial additives, featuring juniper from the Sierra de Mariola mountains and a base of ripe citrus and coriander. In a gin and tonic, it’s clean, dry, and straightforward—ideal for those who love traditional, unadulterated gin.
Gilkon’s Rosé Gin: the most delicate and aromatic version of the Gilkon’s family. Perfect for gin and tonics with a floral and fruity character, which combine perfectly with premium tonics and garnishes of red berries or flowers.
Ned Barrels Gin: a gin aged in oak barrels for just the right amount of time to round out its body without losing the character of its botanicals. Smooth, complex, and with hints of wood. In a gin and tonic, it shines over plenty of ice, with a lemon peel and ice-cold tonic water, poured slowly with a twisted spoon.
How to prepare a perfect gin and tonic
A good gin deserves a proper preparation. These are the basic principles for a top-notch gin and tonic:
Wide, chilled balloon glass: allows the aromas to concentrate and be released with each sip.
Plenty of ice: the more ice, the less the drink is diluted. It should fill the glass.
The perfect ratio: 5 cl of gin for every 20 cl of tonic is our recommended perfect serve.
Quality tonic: a premium gin needs a tonic to match. Brands like Fever Tree or 1724 make all the difference.
Garnish botanicals: adapt the decoration to the gin — rosemary and citrus for Gin Ever, lemon for Gilkon’s, or lemon peel for Ned Barrels.
