Tequila is a distilled spirit that takes its name two centuries ago from a municipality of the same name, located in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. As such, our Quetzal Coatl tequila is produced in Mexico, within the designated Tequila Denomination of Origin region, following the traditional Mexican method. The Tequila Denomination of Origin territory comprises 181 municipalities across five Mexican states: 125 municipalities in Jalisco, 8 in Nayarit, 7 in Guanajuato, 30 in Michoacán, and 11 in Tamaulipas. It is made from the fermentation and distillation of the juice extracted from the Blue Agave, which has the Denomination of Origin designation in these five Mexican states.

Tequila can be enjoyed in many ways. For the more adventurous, the classic way is neat, with the unmistakable accompaniment of salt and lime. If you prefer it mixed, there’s a wide range of different cocktails, of which we highlight three:
Bloody Mary: three parts tequila mixed with half tomato juice and half lime juice. Add a pinch of salt, a pinch of pepper, and three cloves. Finally, you can mix it with a little syrup for a special touch.
Margarita: It contains mostly tequila and is mixed with triple sec and lemon juice in equal parts.
Daiquiri: a combination of equal parts tequila and lime with a double part of syrup.
